Village of Love Ride

Join the Village of Love Ride to raise funds for orphaned and vulnerable children in Kenya. By riding, walking or sponsoring the team, you are part of a powerful, life-changing program that helps caregivers build sustainable family incomes and ensures children can stay in school.

Click the “Sponsor the Team” button. It will take you to the Village of Love Ride 2026 donation page. Your support will help us reach, and hopefully surpass, this year's goal of $13,000.

RIDE DAY

On May 24, join us at Runnymede United Church, 432 Runnymede Road, Toronto, for a kick-off barbecue at noon. The ride begins at 1:00, and we’ll return to the Church for a celebratory snack and drink.

More details and ride route maps will be provided to riders and walkers prior to the ride. If you can’t join us that day, you can always choose your own location and time to ride.

What to expect

  • Barbequed burgers, hot dogs and veggie dogs on the church lawn at 12.

  • Typically, we ride rain or shine! Of course, it is your choice if you'd prefer not to ride in the rain, you can always ride at a time and location of your choice. Regardless of the weather, the Bikeathon will happen on May 24. We've reserved a space in Runnymede United Church to gather and eat in case of rain. 

  • Yes! We have a route planned, starting from the church BBQ.

  • Yes! When you register for the ride, you'll be taken to a page that guides you in creating your personal online fundraising page. With a few clicks, you'll have email and social media tools at your fingertips for reaching out to friends and family.

  • The Village of Love Ride 2026 page allows you to make a donation.

  • Yes! This is a charity ride, and donations made will generate a tax receipt for 2026. Village of Love Canada is a volunteer-based organization with very low overhead, so well-over 90 percent of the funds you raise go directly to work in Kenya.

  • Village of Love Canada is a volunteer organization that raises funds for Kijiji Cha Upendo.

    The money we raise goes directly to the work in Kenya, supporting women who, despite their own poverty and the challenges of raising children, have taken in orphaned and vulnerable children.
