SOME CHANGES TO HOW YOU DONATE
On January 1, 2026, Village of Love Canada will transition our affiliation from Canada Africa Partnership (CAP) Network to Runnymede United Church. We will remain a secular organisation, but will be accountable to CRA through the Runnymede United Church charitable umbrella rather than through CAP Network.
This new affiliation makes sense, since both Village of Love Canada and Runnymede United Church support Kijiji Cha Upendo (Village of Love) Children’s Project in Kenya. Moreover, our administration costs will be cut in half. Even more of your dollars will now reach the beneficiaries!
Your 2025 tax receipt will come from CAP Network as in the past, but all your 2026 tax receipts will come from Runnymede United Church.
What does this change mean for how you donate?

Until midnight, Dec 31, 2025, the above DONATE button will go to CAP Network and your donation will be included in your 2025 tax receipts from CAP Network.
- From January 1, 2026, the DONATE button will link to Runnymede United Church, and you will receive a tax receipt from Runnymede United Church.
MONTHLY DONATIONS:
- CREDIT CARD
- BANK WITHDRAWAL.
E-TRANSFER:
- Until Dec 31, 2025, you can continue to send your donation to info@capnetwork.ca with Village of Love in the message field.
- From Jan 1, 2026, please send your donation to treasurer@runnymedeunited.org with the purpose in the memo line e.g. Village of Love Donation/ Village of Love ticket purchase/
CHEQUES:
- Cheques made out to CAP Network and received by Dec 31, 2025 will be included in your 2025 tax receipt. AFTER THAT DATE THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BE CASHED. Given the difficulties with Canada Post, we do not recommend writing cheques in December!
- After Jan 1, 2026, please make your cheque out to Runnymede United Church. Note the purpose on memo line. E.g. Village of Love donation/ Village of Love ticket purchase.
